World Book Day
March 7th, 2008 by rainbowWhat a brilliant day, all of the Nursery children came dressed up as characters out of their favourite books.
We had lots of ‘Little Princesses,’ but they behaved much better than the one out of the books !
We had Superman who was a superhero all day as he helped to look after our younger children, our policeman and doctor had a quiet day as everyone really behaved themselves and nobody fell over!
Cinderella looked as pretty as a picture, and our pirate wasn’t called Roger but she was very jolly!
All the children made myself and the rest of the team very, very proud as they got up in front of the whole school with lots of parents and carers attending our special assembly, the children retold the story of ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?’ using Makaton signing and also sang, ‘Baa, Baa, Black sheep,’ and the story song, ‘When Goldilocks went to the house of the Bears,’ again with Makaton signing, what an achievement at their age, I still get very nervous getting up in front of everyone so I’m very, very proud of my little Rainbows, I hope you all enjoyed their performance.
It has been a brilliant week in Nursery we had a visit from Jack Frost and went on an exploration and investigation walk to find him.
This resulted in some lovely creativity back in the classroom, the children made wonderful frosty grass pictures, using a variety of media and glitter, salt and PVA glue, they will soon be up on display in the outside corridor board if you would like to take a look.
